We're so pleased to be partaking in this years pitchfork music festival!! broken cherry (who we love) will be there vending, along with many talented crafters, record labels and screen printers with awesome posters 'n' such.
Also there are rumored to be some bands that may be reuniting at this event: Afghan Whigs, the Stone Roses, Elastica, Pulp and Neutral Milk Hotel are all in the running for a potential reunion on stage at pitchfork!
Here are some heads up transportation ideas from pitchfork themselves: Car
If you're driving, your best bet for parking is Standard Parking's lot at 1640 W. Jackson Boulevard, four blocks south of the festival grounds. This year it's offering discounted parking rates for the festival weekend; we suggest you reserve a spot in advance by heading over to Click and Park.
Public transportation
Frequenters of the ever-reliable CTA can easily reach the fest by bus or train. If you're taking the El, Union Park is just off the Ashland stop on the Green Line. If going by bus, catch the #9 Ashland and disembark at Ashland and Lake.
Bicyle
Finally, if you're coming by bicycle, fixed-gear or otherwise, you'll be able to park your eco-trendy ride in a designated area on the festival grounds free of charge.
Looking forward to seeing your faces there!!!
